An established engineering organisation with a prestige customer base is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer. The organisation is experiencing a rapid period of growth, investment and positive change and needs a CI focused professional to devise and implement a targeted short and long term plan to improve manufacturing performance.

About the role

Reporting into the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Process Improvement Engineer will:

O Implement the basics of lean manufacturing, bringing a more visual representation of performance monitoring and improving accountability across both management and shopfloor staff.
O Utilise a varied Lean toolbox including 5s and Kaizen events to engage with colleagues and improve their understanding and appreciation of the importance of Process Improvements
O Work closely with other internal departments, providing knowledge and expertise in Lean Manufacturing and seeing specific projects through to conclusion
O Be hands on in your approach, work closely with both individuals and groups to drive performance and increase employee participation
O Be a key stakeholder in rectifying product quality issues, supporting the maintenance of PFMEA, Control Plans and SOPs throughout the life of the parts

About the Person

The ideal Process Improvement Engineer will have held a designated hands-on Lean/CI role previously within a manufacturing environment and have demonstrable knowledge and experience of a rounded Lean toolbox including 5s, Kaizen and Six Sigma methodology. Formal qualifications/certifications in these subject areas would be advantageous but is not essential.

This role will suit Continuous Improvement Engineers, Process Improvement Engineers or Business Improvement Engineers with similar experience. This is rewarded with an excellent starting salary and the opportunity to impact upon a established and successful business.
